In 2002 a series of monuments and headstones honoring the Native American tribes who fought at the Battle of the Little Big Horn were added to the National Battlefield. This is a wrought iron frieze that decorates the circular alcove where the known fallen are memorialized. This sculpture is an exact rendering in metal of a drawing created by an eye witness to the battle.
The figures are life sized.
