Sculpture composited with resin, PVC & styrene parts with nylon eyes.
This piece was composited from parts of four different frog toys. Each eye and eyelid came from a different Mike toy from "Monsters Inc.". The irises are from a large Beanie Baby frog. Each wing is formed by two wings from separate Hot Wheels dragon sets. They have been sandwiched together with auto body Bondo. The back is from the head of a talking alligator toy. The mouth and tongue are from a Spiderman "Venom" squirt gun. The two fangs are from a Halloween caveman costume necklace. Each claw is a banana shaped link from a string of costume beads. Areas are fared over with Bondo or epoxy plumber's putty. The faux bronze finish is created with aerosol spatter and metallic paints. The verdigris is dilute acrylic sage green. Highlights are dry brushed with copper colored acrylic paint.
