Grasshopper on My Windshield

I am amazed at how tenaciously that grasshoppers can cling to smooth surfaces. I found this hitchhiker on my car's windshield while driving in South Dakota.

Although I sacrificed depth of focus for this extreme close up, I did capture the multiple refractions within the safety glass.

Does any one recognize the species?
