This onion field lies just outside of Ontario, Oregon. This town has one claim to fame. It is hosts the factory that produces Ore-Ida Tattertots and onion rings. The volcanic soil of the region results the production of billions of onions and potatoes every year. My work schedule took me past the onion fields of Oregon during harvest season. Open trucks transporting the onion crop leave thousands of onions rolling along the road sides.
