More of my explorations of the cosmos can be seen in my DA "Paleo & Sci Illo" gallery:[link]
This is a black hole that formed in the center of a dense star cluster. It is depicted eating a pair of white dwarfs. The diameter of this decaying dance of death is less than that of the Earth/Moon system but it involves a gravity well millions of times more intense. The hole is shooting off accelerated particles and gamma rays from its poles as it consumes these ultra dense stars.
This image was rendered in pencil on plate Bristol, water color pens, markers, Prismacolor pencils and acrylic paint.
