I spend my summers exploring the Eocene Bridger Formation of Wyoming. I am posting this photo less than 24 hours after I made this remarkable find. This is the complete skull of a lemur-like primate known as Notharctus. Fossils of this quality are so rare that it has been 20 years since I collected a specimen of this species that is this complete. This is what they look like before they can be seen in museum displays or in the textbooks. Consider yourselves to be privileged to see this. The animal was about the size of a cat, behaved somewhat like a sifaka and lived over 49 million years ago,
